  • A. Atlas Rose ships orders all over the world and frequently transfers products from one climate to another. When products go from hot to cold over a short period of time, it can affect the consistency of the formulas. In winter when products are shipped in colder temperatures, they can cool down which may temporarily cause them to become more viscous or thicker in consistency.

The thickness can cause issues with the pump dispenser of a product. It's best to let the product sit in room temperature before using it to restore the formula to its original consistency. After the product warms up, you can easily dispense the product like usual.

One of the stability tests we do is called a freeze-thaw cycles, where we test how the product fares when it's frozen for 24 hrs, then thawed for 24 hrs, usually for three cycles. Atlas Rose has performed these stability tests and the product should be ok to use after fully thawed out.

  • A. When a product is past its prime:

    • Bacteria and mold grow

    • Active ingredients lose their potency

    • Oils become rancid

    • Ingredients like peptides and Vitamin C oxidize

Over the years we have definitely came across some customers stating that their skin care has gone bad.

At Atlas Rose we focus on clean beauty. Only organic, all natural and no harsh preservatives in our products, work the best for skin remedies.

We found loads of research that supports harsh preservatives can cause all manner of skin issues, including 'clogged pours, breakouts, and irritation'. So we’ve made it our mission to eliminate harsh preservatives all together. However, we do sometimes have an issue with product going bad quicker. But we would rather have a product come bad, then have a negative reaction to the skin from harsh chemicals.

    How to avoid this?

    • Because all the product is organic keep product in a cool/ dry areas in your house nothing in direct heat or water.

    • Avoid Stockpiling Your Skin Care Products. Be sure you are not stockpiling old skin care products. It can be easy to hang onto products for too long, especially if they aren’t in regular rotation. We know it’s hard to say goodbye, but tossing your products when they’re past their prime is part of a healthy skin care routine.

    • Our product only lasts for six months to a thirteen months maximum

  • A. Water based serum

The OH and NH2 groups hydrogen bond with water, essentially “grabbing” it and holding it on the skin. Humectants slow water from evaporating and therefore keep the skin hydrated. Our high concentrated formulations of humectants are amino acids, vitamins, peptides, and hyaluronic acid to help treat certain skin types.

    Oil based serum

Contains fat soluble plant-based lipids, antioxidants, vitamins, peptides, and beta carotene. These combined ingredients have the ability to increase cell turnover and promote regeneration in the outer layers of the skin. Over time, this can help even out skin tone and add a “glow” to the skin. Oilbased serum helps address certain skin types. So, oil-based serums not only help to replenish the skin’s lipid barrier, but also provides a youthful glow to skin. Contrary to popular belief, most oils and oil-based serums will not clog your pores and cause breakouts. Actually, quite the opposite is true. The theory with using oils on breakout-prone skin is that they actually help balance your skin’s sebum production, and helps your skin’s own oil flow more freely (instead of clogging in the pore).

    The perfect pair

Using an oil and water-based serum together helps increase hydration, and strengthens the skins barrier functions. Always use the water-based serum first, allow it to absorb into your skin and dry and then apply the oil base.

  • A. Vitamin A has gained popularity in the skin care industry for years because when it’s applied it has visible results overtime sloughing may or may not occur after application depending on the concentration of retinol. The concentration ranges from .25 - 2% Vitamin A is composed of two parts. The first part is provitamin A carotenoids, like beta-carotene, which helps to maintain healthy skin. The second part is an active form called retnoids. There are many types of retinoids some including retinyl esters, retinol, retinaldehyde, and retinoic acid.

Retinoic acid is the most potent retinoid approved as an active drug ingredient in the US and Canada. This is prescribed by physicians to treat acne. This can be very effective for a short amount of time, but causes excessive amount of sloughing, photosensitivity, and irritation. Some of the brand names are RenovaTM, TazoracTM, and DifferinTM. Retinol is found in more over the counter skin care products. Concentration may vary. Retinol aids damage cells to mature normally, encourages skin exfoliation, stimulates cell proliferation. High concentration in Retinol can still cause extreme sloughing and photosensitivity.

Atlas Rose has a retinal A we use in the Complex Retinol + serum. Our vitamin A is made out of the shell of natural sugar complex. We complement it with hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide to help heal, and hydrate the skin.

This serum because it has such a low dose of vitamin A 0.5 so you won’t experience some of the downfalls with other prescription grade or over-the counter vitamin A Serum’s.

  • A. The reason Atlas Rose doesn’t have samples is they are wasteful. We have reduced our non-recyclable waste by approximate 30,000 units per year by not producing sample packaging. Also let’s be honest most samples end up straight in the trash unused and wasted. Let’s all do our part to protect our earth.

  • A. Toner Facts: A proper toner should not have a mister or be sprayed on your face! A toner should be placed on a cotton pad to remove dirt and debris and help even out skin tone and balance pH alkalinity. If a toner is sprayed on the face, this doesn’t allow the nutrients to absorb into the skin. Using a cotton pad or applying the essences directly on the skin will allowing for more penetration of other products. If toner is sprayed on the face the product evaporates quickly, instead of absorbing and leveling out your pH.

    Pro Tips:

    • Hydroboost mist sets your makeup. Spray after applying powdered makeup to give your skin an extra boost of hydration and refreshed look even in the coldest conditions. Also helps with sunburns.

    • Ufresh mist helps maintain normal pH levels and fresh in your intimate areas, as well as balances pH to prevent ingrown hairs from occurring in your intimate areas.

  • A. Our epidermis holds 50%-75% moisture. This is where skin care, the alcohol we drink, the food we eat, and the house products we clean with, come into play!

Our skin absorbs 62.5% of the skin care we put on our skin. It is very important that we understand why chemicals and harsh preservatives that are found, stored, and accumulated in the body have serious systemic effects. The skin has an immune responsiveness to the many things that touch it and gain entry into it. Research have shown that some of the chemical ingredients in the FDA study in skin care can disrupt the biological effect of chemical preservatives stored in your blood, causing hormonal imbalance (both physically and mentally), can lead to fertility problems, poor birth outcomes for babies, and perhaps cancer.

Organic and all-natural skin care is made with ingredients that meet the same standards as organic food, house cleaning supplies, and organic cosmetics industries. This means no harsh chemicals, pesticides, or fertilizers. ... When you choose organic skin care like Atlas Rose, you are using ingredients that work in harmony with your body, allowing your skin to better balance and mend itself.
